SIGMA dp Quattro Series
Sigma corporation from Japan has announced their newest generation of compact cameras featuring the sigma DP series. The sigma dp series is a high quality compact camera – with 29 megapixel CMOS foveon X3 direct image sensor. The sensor uses vertical color separation technology.
Sigma DP quattro is set to launch in March, and the cost of it is still being determined.
Take note that the camera underwent a full makeover, from its sensor, engine, lens, and the body. The quattro dp2 is wide and has a 3.0 inch LCD screen with a maximum resolution of 7,680 x 4,320.
As far as focal length goes, the camera has different focal lengths to suite your need. It has the wide-angle (dp1) at 19mm, the standard angle (dp2) at 30mm, and the medium telephoto (dp3) at 50mm.
In addition, this camera comprises of three photodiodes layers, and each layer measures light at a different depth within the silicon. Each one also corresponds to a different RGB color. All in all, these technologies combined result in a superb full-bodied 3D feel.
